Compassion and Restoration Engagement is a non-government and non-profit charitable institution based in Baguio City, Philippines. C.A.R.E. Inc. was initially started by a small group of young pastors and ministers in 2012. The goal was to initially reach out to street children roaming around Baguio City. In 2015, the institution carried and extended its vision to help impoverished individuals in Baguio City and created programs ideally for the recipients that walks them toward self-development. Since then, the team works with street dwellers regardless of age, disability, and marginalized families to bring out significant effects in their lives through feeding, livelihood training, education, and discipleship training among many others. CARE Aid assistance such as Health-Care, Education Assistance, and Eye-Care are also offered to recipients. 

 

As a Christian institution, we believe that ministries are not limited in the four corners of a church, but should also be conveyed outside. As followers of Christ, we want to share what we believe and make a difference. The effect starts in remembering what Christ asked in Matthew 25:35-40. Did we feed the hungry and thirsty? Did we clothe the naked? Or did we see strangers and welcomed them? As Jesus came to serve these people, it is a great privilege for C.A.R.E. Inc. to serve these people who are considered an outcast of society. 

 

C.A.R.E. Inc. opens its door to everyone who shares the same burden in helping the poor and to become a partner in this cause. Through giving a piece of the bread we have we can help the hungry be fed, by giving the extra clothes in our closet we can clothe the naked, and through our compassion and love to these people, we have already welcomed them.
